The most successful schemes use more than one source of light. Liang & Eimil’s ceiling lights establish the main visual statement, wall lights introduce rhythm and low-level glow, floor lamps draw attention to a reading corner, and table lamps bring intimacy to consoles, sideboards and bedsides. Used together, these layers allow a room to move from practical daytime brightness to a softer evening atmosphere.
Glass is used in many different ways across the collection: clear rods catch and refract light, frosted and opal globes create an even glow, and smoked or tinted glass adds depth when the fitting is switched off. Antique brass and bronze bring warmth, polished nickel adds a cooler note, and matt-black metal gives sculptural arms and frames graphic clarity. Selected designs introduce acrylic, textured linen shades, alabaster effects and marble details for natural-looking variation and quiet opulence. From restrained globe lights to bold tiered compositions, each piece creates a purposeful layer within the room.
Start with scale, ceiling height and the amount of light the room needs. A wide pendant can define a dining table or island, while a vertical composition suits a stairwell or double-height space. Wall lights are particularly effective beside mirrors, beds and along corridors; selected IP44-rated designs can be considered for appropriate bathroom zones. Always check dimensions, drop, bulb specification, dimmer compatibility and IP rating on the individual product page, and use a qualified electrician for installation.
