Mayfield’s character lies in the meeting of surfaces: pale, smooth marble above dark brown timber worked into close vertical ribs. Daylight draws out the ridges and shadows, while brass rims on selected designs add a warm metallic detail. The four-door Mayfield sideboard carries that rhythm across a broad storage piece; the semicircular console wraps it around a compact, curved base. Natural marble varies in its markings, giving each top its own pattern. Leave some stone visible between a lamp, a favourite object or a stack of books so the materials remain part of the room’s decoration.
Round Mayfield dining tables in 120cm and 140cm diameters create a sociable centre for a square dining area. The longer tables, available in 210cm, 230cm and 250cm sizes, bring a more expansive focal point to a generous dining room. Compare the individual base designs as well as the tabletop dimensions: the position of the supports matters when arranging chairs, particularly upholstered styles with arms. The freestanding Mayfield bar adds a sculptural serving station, with a curved ribbed body, marble counter and concealed shelved storage. Give it room to be used comfortably, with access to the storage door and space nearby for guests to gather.
Set Mayfield against pale painted panelling, tall windows and parquet, then add burnt-orange velvet, deep petrol blue or a quieter tobacco tone. A mix of abstract prints and framed drawings makes the room feel collected, while warm shaded lamps pick up the brass details. In the sitting room, choose the round coffee table with its three angled legs for a lighter outline, or the kidney-shaped coffee table set for a fuller, flowing centrepiece beside a generous sofa. The wave-edged mirror carries the ribbed texture into a hallway or bedroom. Repeat a few materials across adjoining rooms and let the art and upholstery bring the individuality.
