Dark wenge oak forms the table-top, legs, sides and structure, and creates the framework for a striking geometric honeycomb design.

Wenge oak is a rich, powerful wood. Produced in West Africa from the Millettia Laurentil tree, the heartwood is dark brown, almost black in colour, hence it is sometimes known as 'ebony wood'. Challenging to work with, this exotic, dramatic timber is little used in furniture, making our Geo sideboard all the more of an unusual statement piece.

Striking rich timber notwithstanding, the real talking point of this piece is the beautifully constructed cupboard front. Three doors are formed from gleaming polished mirror, framed into a honeycomb of eye-catching geometric hexagons. Open out the door to reveal a rich dark interior, where further wenge oak is used for shelving.

Finally, we love the supporting structure. The legs and base frame are a beautifully formed mixture of clean straight lines and curves, creating the elegant, strong base the sideboard demands. This is not a sideboard to stuff with old magazines - rather it is somewhere to squirrel away your most precious belongings.

And we suggest keeping the table-top mostly clear, to fully appreciate the expanse of rich glossy ‘ebony wood’ - perhaps pop your unopened mail and car keys somewhere else!
